Kuemper (lower body) won’t be ready to play in Wednesday’s game versus the Ducks, Craig Morgan of The Athletic reports.

Kuemper was lifted off IR before the All-Star break, but since he’s still on the mend, the Coyotes recalled Adin Hill from minors. The Coyotes play Thursday versus the Kings as well, and it doesn’t appear Kuemper will be ready in time. Kuemper may revert to IR to free up a roster spot.

Kuemper (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Tuesday, per the NHL’s official media site.

Kuemper has missed the last 14 games, but he’ll be ready to rock following the All-Star break. While Kuemper was named to the Pacific Division All-Star team, he won’t participate in the game, as Jacob Markstrom and David Rittich are set to replace Kuemper and Marc-Andre Fleury. The 29-year-old Kuemper posted a .929 save percentage and 15-8-2 record before getting injured, and he’ll step back into a starting role following the break.

Coach Rick Tocchet said Sunday that Kuemper (lower body) won’t return until after the All-Star break, Craig Morgan of The Athletic reports.

This news confirms that Kuemper will miss the next four games, and his first possible chance to return to action is Jan. 29 against Anaheim. Kuemper continues to deal with a lower-body issue and has yet to return to the ice for practice. With the 29-year-old sidelined, goaltending duties will likely continue to be shared between Antti Raanta (lower body), Adin Hill and Ivan Prosvetov.
